Your eyes are your windows to the world and taking care of them can lead to clear vision of the world throughout your life. 1. Proper Nutrition-

What you put into your body can have a great affect on your eyesight. We all have heard eat carrots if you want good eyesight. 3. Avoid eye fatigue- 

In an age full of technology such as smart phones, tablets, and computers many people are hurting there eyesight and causing eye fatigue from staring at screens to long. These screens give off light that can be harmful after lengthy exposure and effect sleep cycles. It is important when using your laptop or phone for long periods of time you take periodic breaks to look away from the screen and readjust your eyes. 4. Don't smoke- 

Smokers are more likely to have macular degeneration, damage to the optic nerve, and develop cataracts. 5. Know your Family History- 

Knowing if any one in your family has any eye disease or problems with there eyesight can also be important. Many of these diseases can be hereditary and knowing about them before developing them can be a key in prevention and allow you to have good eye health practices. Also be aware of diseases such as diabetes that might not be directly associated with the eyes but can lead to eye problems. Getting regular eye checks is important as well especially if your family has a history of eye related problems. 

6. Exercise- 

Exercise can be very important for your overall health. A regular exercise routine can prevent many diseases and keep your energy levels up and feeling great. It can also greatly effect your eye sight. Regular exercise helps circulation which is important in supplying nutrients to the eyes and the rest of the body. Also certain exercise and sports help develop better hand eye coordination which can  lead to better eyesight and overall awareness.
